Historic Baseball-Making

Join us for a unique experience that celebrates the rich history of baseball in Oxford County, Ontario. Our historic baseball-making program offers an exciting blend of education and hands-on fun. Explore historic baseball equipment and memorabilia from notable teams of the past. Embark on a guided tour highlighting the first recorded baseball game in North America and learn about the rules of early games. After soaking in the history, unleash your creativity in our workshop, where you’ll handcraft your very own baseball, using local materials such as leather, wool, and waxed thread. Finally, put your skills to the test by playing a game of baseball on our scenic grounds (weather permitting), using your baseball and following the 1838 rules.

This experience requires a minimum of 2 registrants in order to run and is subject to cancellation if minimum is not met.

A 100% refund or transfer of registration to an alternate date will be offered in the event of cancellation.
